46/234083/19: Between 7th and 8th of December, the Methodist Church in Church Lane Newington was burgled although nothing appears to have been stolen.

If you have any information that could help investigators please contact Kent police on telephone number 101 and quote the relevant Crime Number. For more information on crime prevention visit kent.police.uk

Trading Standards have received many reports from Kent residents who have received letters claiming to be from the Postcode Lottery telling them they have won £375,000. Naturally, to claim the money, the scammers expect you to phone a specific number and hand over your bank details!

Because you are clever people I know you won’t fall for this scam.

You won’t win anything if you haven’t joined up anyway. If you have entered the Postcode Lottery, they will already have your bank details.

REMEMBER Legitimate lotteries don't ask you to pay taxes, custom fees, insurance shipping, handling fees etc. before you can receive your 'winnings'

If you know anyone who may not realise this is a scam, please warn them.
